The latest addition, and now a cornerstone of the SO-CAL family of chassis components, is our forged dropped axle. SO-CAL’s engineering staff spent the better part of three years refining a design that takes into account the idiosyncrasies of a reproduction part that must first work with original Ford components.
Plain axles are in stock now. Drilled, chrome, and drilled/chrome versions are available December 1.

Check out our completely re-designed light weight mechanic jacket that features artwork by renowned automotive artist Chris Froggett. Our "gear driven" logo is embroidered on the front and Chris' beautifully rendered SO-CAL Speed Shop Service chevron is chain stitched on the back. The jacket is fully lined and features adjustable buttoned wrist and waist bands.

This is the first of a series of SO-CAL Speed Shop wooden garage art signs. Measuring 10 ½” high and 24” long this ½” thick “weathered” sign features a stunning line drawing by renowned car artist Thom Taylor.

Emerson Glazer's '33 Sedan

The 2 1/2" chop on Emerson Glazer's sedan is complete. As you can see from the photos the top was executed perfectly by our pals the Kennedy Bros. The car is now being disassembled and headed for the paint shop.







The Mystery Coupe

The Mystery Coupe is alive! The Ford Y-Block was fired up and it sounds great. It is also completely assembled and ready to go to Gabe's for upholstery. Be on the look out for this one of a kind Model A at the 2009 Grand National Roadster Show.

 

Martin Nooney's 1932 Coupe

Check out Martin Nooney standing by his wicked chopped '32 full fendered coupe. It is now in the paint shop getting prepped for a serious red that will be laid down right here at the SO-CAL Speed Shop paint facility. It will be complete in time for the 2009 Grand National Roadster Show.




John Devine's 1955 F100

When we first met John Devine he was looking to build a mild pick up truck but instead his '66 Chevelle "Supercar" was put on the front burner. Once the Chevelle was finished he brought his '55 Ford F100 back out for the SO-CAL crew to do their magic. This local hauler is powered by a big block Ford and is close to being painted by SO-CAL's own Mick Jenkins in a subtle "Sea Foam" green offset with a black top.





Tom Lieb's 1929 Hiboy roadster

Owner Tom Lieb and SO-CAL fabricator Jimmy Shine put their wild imaginations together to come up with one cool '29 roadster. With all hand made pieces this hiboy is definitely one for the ages.








Bob Anderson's 1934 Coupe

Bob Anderson brought his black primered '34 coupe to us with a certain goal in mind; make it resemble one of his favorite hot rods of all time. From the looks of the finished product we think he will be more than satisfied with the result.








Tom Tomlison's 1932 roadster

In the beginning stages is Tom Tomlison's full fendered '32 roadster. The car features our complete line of chassis components and Brookville body and fenders.
